Haughley Park near Stowmarket hosts Spectacle of Light trail for St Elizabeth Hospice
A popular light trail is returning for the third time to raise funds for an independent hospice charity.
Spectacle of Light returns to Haughley Park, near Stowmarket, and will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening in February from Friday 3 to Sunday 26.
The event will be raising money for St Elizabeth Hospice by transporting audience members to the illuminated world of Alice in Wonderland.
Robert Williams, of Haughley Park, said: “We are very proud to be partnering with St Elizabeth Hospice for our Spectacle of Light and to be raising money for the charity through the event’s wonderful Wishing Tree.
“Visitors can make a donation in return for a ribbon to tie on one of the branches – this can be to make a wish or simply remember a loved one.
“After all the pandemic restrictions, it is lovely to be able to bring back this feature and make the event bigger and better than ever for 2023.”
The new light trail will take visitors through the Haughley Park gardens and offers the chance to meet the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat.
Free parking is available on site and dogs are welcome but must remain on short leads.
A 10 per cent discount is on offer until Thursday, February 2 and you can click this link to book your tickets.
Liz Baldwin, corporate and sponsorship fundraising manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We are delighted Haughley Park have chosen to support the hospice through this year’s Spectacle of Light and we cannot wait to see the fantastic lights on display.
“Their support will make a big difference to the hospice’s work, as we deliver care to patients and their families throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney, who are living through difficult times in their lives.”
