A fast-developing interior design business has opened its second outlet in a town centre.

Hemingstone Frames & Interiors, which focuses on London-style picture framing and contemporary design, is based at Stonham Barns in Stonham Aspal, near Stowmarket.

The business is now welcoming customers to its new store in Crown Street, Woodbridge, giving the company an outlet in both a rural shopping village and a town location.

Hemingstone Frames & Interiors originally opened its store at Stonham Barns in 2023 and the business has flourished at the site since then.

The new shop in Woodbridge, managed by Lorraine Spence, will showcase its fun statement pieces, soft furnishings, furniture, and steampunk furniture.

Ms Spence said: “The Hemingstone interiors collection is bold and beautiful. It’s outrageously brave in its statement pieces and that’s where the fun comes in.

“Customers can make their homes as individual as they are with the eclectic collection of interior design items on sale. We always aim to put the frivolity into interior design.’

“It’s going to be interesting to see what the people of Woodbridge make of this creative new offering.”

David Patrick helped grow Hemingstone Frames & Interiors by supplying frames for top pieces of art at galleries in the UK and has most recently been supplying ‘arty’ furniture and furnishings for people who are decorating, refurbishing or upgrading properties.

Mr Patrick, who has more than 25 years of experience in framing and lives in Hemingstone, near Needham Market, said: “The business has simply grown organically.

“My customers – who appreciate beautifully framed art – are usually working on entire rooms when they come to buy pictures and mirrors.’

“I now stock anything that can bring colour, life and vibrancy to a home or business interior supplying everyone from homeowners to restaurants and hotels, not just in the UK but to many overseas customers too.

“The business has grown exponentially in recent years. I have seen a huge interest in picture and mirror framing and a new passion for furniture and accessories which means I need another space to showcase our stock.

“I am very happy with the way the business is growing and developing. It’s been extremely hard work at times, but it has all been worth it.”
