Norwich Road in Earl Stonham, near Stowmarket, closed after crash between van and car

A key route is shut in one direction following a crash between a van and a car.

Officers were called to the collision on the A140/Norwich Road in Earl Stonham, near Stowmarket, at 3.45pm.

The road was blocked ‘for some time’ before the southbound lane was recently reopened.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said injuries have been reported but the severity of the injuries are not yet known.

Officers remain at the scene and the fire service has been called.

According to the AA traffic map, there are long queues along the route.
