Man arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after A14 eastbound crash near Stowmarket where another man taken to hospital with serious injuries
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after another man was taken to hospital with serious injuries in the wake of a crash on a major road.
Air ambulances attended the scene of a two-vehicle collision this morning on the A14 eastbound near Stowmarket, at the A140 junction at Beacon Hill, where the injured party was later transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and will be questioned by officers in due course.
Alongside two air ambulances, three road ambulances and an ambulance vehicle officer all attended, and police have warned of long delays continuing.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the incident should contact the Roads and Armed Policing team on 101.
