Joshua Barrington-Lee of Stowupland Street, Stowmarket, charged with drug dealing following police raid at property




A man has been charged with drug dealing after police raided a property in a town.

Suffolk Police arrested two people, a 38-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, during the raid in Stowupland Street, Stowmarket, in the early hours of yesterday.

The pair were taken to the Police Investigation Centre in Bury St Edmunds for questioning.

Joshua Barrington-Lee, 38, of Stowupland Street, was subsequently charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin.

He appeared at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich today and was bailed to return to Ipswich Crown Court on December 5.

The woman, arrested on suspicion of drugs offences, was bailed to return to police on January 31.

The raid was a joint operation by Stowmarket Community Policing Team (CPT), West Sentinel and Serious Crime Disruption Team (SCDT) and Dogs section.

Photos shared on Facebook by Stowmarket Police show the property’s door was smashed with a battering ram.
