Man in critical condition after falling from B1115 bridge onto A14 near Stowmarket




A man is in a critical condition after falling from a bridge onto the A14.

Police were called shortly after 3.45pm yesterday following reports that a man had fallen from the B1115 bridge onto the main A14 carriageway, near Stowmarket.

He was taken by the air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, having suffered life-threatening injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.

Both directions of the A14 were closed between junctions 49 and 50, and the B1115 was also closed between Mortimer Road and Thorney Green Road, as emergency services responded to the incident.

All restrictions were lifted at about 5.15pm.
