Hit and run on the A14 slip road at Needham Market sees man taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with serious injuries
A lorry driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a hit and run on an A14 slip road.
Suffolk Police were called to the westbound exit at junction 51 for Needham Market at approximately 1.30pm.
The lorry driver had stopped on the slip road and was out of his vehicle when he was struck by another the vehicle.
The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
An air ambulance attended the scene, but the man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, by land ambulance.
Although his injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
The A14 and the slip road has now re-opened.
