Motorcyclist suffers pelvic fracture after crashing into tree in Gislingham Road, Stowmarket, as Suffolk Police appeal for witnesses




A motorcyclist fractured his pelvis after his vehicle crashed into a large tree in Stowmarket.

The man was travelling in Gislingham Road towards Finningham Road on Saturday at around 12.40pm when the motorbike collided into the tree.

The rider, in his 70s, has suffered a possible spinal injury, pelvic fracture and internal bleeding.

Following the incident he was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge.

Anyone with dashcam footage that may have captured the collision or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting reference CAD 171 of Saturday, September 25.
