Buddy the skunk still missing from Little Stonham, near Stowmarket, after week
A pet skunk has been missing for a week after escaping his enclosure in Suffolk.
Concerns are growing for the two-year-old skunk, called Buddy, who went missing from Little Stonham, near Stowmarket, on Friday, February 21.
His owner, Emily Tilbrook, is renewing her appeal for help and urging anyone who spots Buddy to call 07875729862 or 0330 124 2004 immediately.
Adult male skunks like Buddy can roam up to five miles a night in search of food and a mate, making it crucial that any sightings are reported quickly so Emily can reach him before he moves on.
Emily runs Em’z Exotic Encounters which offers exotic animal visits to parties, schools and other venues — showcasing her collection of frogs, snakes, lizards and other animals.
Buddy was her first mammal and after forming a strong bond with him, she and her partner, Jay, decided to keep him as a pet rather than include him in events.
A reward is being offered for Buddy’s safe return and residents are urged to be cautious if they spot him.
He is highly sensitive to loud noises, so anyone who sees him should avoid shouting, chasing or attempting to grab him.
