Police catch more than 300 speeding motorists

Police in Stowmarket have caught more than 300 speeding motorists in one month.

Posting on Facebook, Stowmarket's team detailed the areas where they had caught the motorists with their camera van.

Stowmarket (46), Stonham Aspal (42) and Stowupland (33) were the worst-hit areas for speedy drivers in January.

Elsewhere, Haughley, Creeting St Mary, Earl Stonham, Wattisfield and Tostock were further areas where police sent Traffic Offence Reports to drivers after they were spotted exceeding speed limits.

Commenting on Facebook, two people asked police to check the speeds at Helmingham primary and at Elmswell during the school runs for safety reasons.
