Police investigation after Upper Town, Wetherden, incident where off-lead dog chased horse and rider




Police are investigating after an off-lead dog reportedly chased a horse which was being ridden in a village.

Stowmarket Police is seeking to identify a man who was cycling with the dog in Upper Town, Wetherden, in the incident at around 2.40pm on Monday.

The dog was reported to have barked at and chased the horse and its rider.

This spooked the horse and caused it to change direction.

The cyclist is described as being in their late 20s or early 30s, around five feet 10 inches tall and with dark brown hair.

They were riding a bike with thick tyres.

The dog is described as a black and tan German Shepherd.
