Inquest opens into death of Stowmarket man Cameron Farnan, 27, whose body was found near farmland

A rifle was found near the body of a 27-year-old man, an inquest has heard.

The body of Cameron Farnan, of Stowmarket, was found in farmland on January 2, Suffolk Coroner’s Court heard today.

Paul Sermons, senior coroner officer, said his body was identified by his father.

A post-mortem examination concluded that Mr Farnan had suffered injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

Coroner Darren Stewart said the inquest would continue on July 29.
