Rush hour delays on the A14 westbound near Stowmarket, as police close lane close to junction 49

There were significant delays on a key Suffolk route this morning as police attempted to recover a broken-down vehicle.
One lane of the A14 westbound at Haughley, close to junction 49, was closed as recovery services worked to move the large lorry.
According to the AA traffic map the broken-down vehicle was first reported at 6am this morning.
Traffic queued back past junction 50 at the Cedars Interchange, Stowmarket, with drivers in the area reporting long delays.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the lane was reopened at 10.15am, traffic is now moving freely.
