Stowmarket school children enjoy musical theatre performance

Children at a Suffolk primary school have been treated to a musical theatre performance.

The Image Musical Theatre company performed at Cedars Park Primary School, which is part of the John Milton Academy Trust, in Stowmarket.

Two performances of The Sword in the Stone were staged throughout the day on Tuesday, June 14.

Headteacher Aisha Suhail said: “The children had a wonderful time following Arthur and Merlin on their quest.

“The performance featured plenty of swashbuckling action and lots of singing – the children absolutely loved it.

“This was a fantastic chance to engage the children with the legend of King Arthur and to further develop their interest in theatre and the arts.

“It was a brilliant performance and the children really enjoyed themselves.”
