Space above Stowmarket’s Argos, in Ipswich Street, could be coverted to flat after plans submitted
The space above a town’s Argos could be coverted to a flat.
Plans submitted to Mid Suffolk Council on Wednesday are seeking approval to turn the space above the Ipswich Street, Stowmarket, shop into a two-bedroom flat.
A design and access statement said the proposals are ‘unlikely to have an impact in parking demand’ while there is also ‘abundant space’ for the safe outdoor storage of bicycles.
It also said there is a car park to the back of the site.
The application site is mixed use, with the former Handy Hardware store next door to the Argos.
The space above the store is currently classified for business or commercial use.
