Former Bury Town interim manager Alex Rossis is appointed as Richard Wilkins’ assistant manager at Stowmarket Town

New Stowmarket Town manager Richard Wilkins has brought in former Bury Town interim boss Alex Rossis as his assistant.

It has been a busy week at Greens Meadow with the Pitching In Isthmian League North Division club announcing Wilkins as their new permanent manager on Tuesday.

The ex-Bury Town, Needham Market and Leiston boss had been number two to previous Stow managers Paul Musgrove and Chris Casement, with the latter stepping down from the role earlier this week.

The club announced this morning that Wilkins has appointed Rossis as his assistant, with the former Chelmsford City goalkeeper having finished last season as Bury Town’s interim manager.

Last week the Blues confirmed ex-Ipswich Town and Colchester United midfielder Cole Skuse as their new manager, with ex-Stowmarket chief Paul Musgrove coming in as his number two.

Of his arrival at Greens Meadow, Rossis told the club’s website: “I am really looking forward to the new challenge at Stowmarket Town FC and working with Wilks and everyone at the football club.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we will do our best to give the fans a team that they will be proud of.”
