Principal Lee Walker said: “Congratulations to all our students picking up their exam results today.

“As a school community, we are very proud of all the hard work and effort you have put into your studies.”

Among those picking up their results was Jakob Wasag, 16, from Needham Market, who achieved six 9s, two 8s and two 7s.

“I did really well,” he said. “Better than expected. I’ve just been on holiday in Croatia so that has stopped me getting too nervous waiting for my results.

“I’m going to do A-levels next but am not sure what subjects I’ll be taking. I’m then aiming for Oxford and think I want to study medicine.”

Twins Matilda and Hermoine Johnson, who celebrate their 16th birthday next week, achieved impressive results – including both getting a Level 2 Distinction Stars in food tech and health and social care.

“I am feeling so happy,” said Matilda. “I think I did very well. I’m going to do A-levels in biology, English and philosophy next and to then go on to university. I would love to be a primary school teacher eventually, working with early years children.”

Hermoine said she wants to work in social care or policing. She said: “I’m really pleased with my results.

“We have been revising together, quizzing each other and have really helped each other all the way through.

“We worked as a team – I’m so glad to have her.”

“We are rightly celebrating their hard work and efforts that went into the past five years of their studies. I also would like to thank our dedicated staff; it is their continued diligence that has enabled so many of our students to attain such positive outcomes.

“A special mention to Izzy Manning who achieved the highest grades possible across all subjects.”
