A14 closed near Stowmarket following crash between two lorries

A stretch of the A14 is closed following a crash between two lorries.

Emergency services including police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the westbound carriageway of the A14 near Stowmarket at about 1.45pm.

Two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene and a man has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital with minor injuries.

The road is closed between junctions 49 and 50 and the AA traffic map is showing long delays in the area.

A police spokesperson said it is not clear how long the closure will remain in place.
