Mendlesham incident involving 11-year-old girl sees suspect 'identified and spoken to' by police




Police investigating an incident in Mendlesham have thanked the public for their assistance after identifying and speaking to a suspect involved in an incident which took place two weeks ago.

An 11-year-old girl was on a footpath in Glebe Way on April 23 where she was approached by an unknown man who said she ‘looked pretty’ before reaching out to her.

The girl was unhurt and went home and told her parents.

After releasing a description of the man they wished to speak, Suffolk Police have now been able to identify the suspect and speak to him.
