Teenage singer-songwriter signs music deal with Suffolk shopping village

A teenage singer-songwriter has signed her first music management deal, in an unlikely pairing with a Suffolk shopping village.

Stonham Barns retail park, in Stonham Aspal, has partnered with Breeze Redwine, from Harleston, Norfolk, and will help the 18-year-old with booking live appearances, marketing, PR, securing listings on streaming sites and hosting her social media platforms.

Owner Alan Forward explained how the partnership with the teenager – who has appeared numerous times on the BBC – became a reality after first meeting in 2018.

“Breeze first came to perform at here at an event two years ago and we have watched her grow and develop as a captivating and hugely talented artist ever since,” he said.

Mr Forward added that he expects the teenager – who performs a mix of pop, country, and dance music – to be a global success.

He added: “We think she will make it big both nationally and internationally.

“She is a natural on stage, fabulously talented and hugely entertaining and our visitors just love her.

“It seemed to make sense to help her into a music career on the a journey that started here in Suffolk.

“She is true to her roots and an East Anglian artist through and through.”

Breeze, who has been crowned the winner of a number of international performing arts competitions in recent years, added that she had already begun to reap the rewards of her new management deal.

“I could not be more excited to have signed a management deal with them," she said.

“It’s just the kick-start I need to get me to the next stage of my development as a music artist.

“I've been introduced to so many new contacts and been given all the backing I need to succeed.

“While 2020 has been a challenging year, particularly for aspiring musicians, I’m hoping that next year will be the year of where it all happens for me, and for everyone."

Stonham Barns' venture into showbusiness is a departure from the meerkat castle and pirate themed adventure golf typically found at the park.

On Saturday and Sunday, Breeze will be perform at Stonham Barns Park's Christmas Market, accompanied by a host of supporting acts, ahead of the release of “Money” on December 8 – which will be available on Spotify, and Apple Music shortly thereafter.
