Stowmarket Stories exhibition opens at Food Museum

A chance to discover the stars of Stowmarket is on offer at the Food Museum with an exhibition looking at the town’s history.

The town’s people, places and traditions are being brought together as part of a free exhibition called Stowmarket Stories which opened on Saturday at the museum.

It follows a theatre performance by Footprints Theatre Company CIC inspired by local history which took place in the town centre in July.

She said: “Stowmarket Stories was created in response to the rich tapestry of oral stories in the Stowmarket area.

“The company wanted to capture the spirit of Stowmarket and celebrate it with the people who live there.

“Our aim was to share as many stories as possible about the people of Stowmarket and celebrate the community.”
