Food Museum in Stowmarket hosts butchery masterclass with Nigel Goodchild from Alder Carr Farm
Suffolk residents are being offered the chance to develop new culinary skills at a hands-on butchery workshop.
The Food Museum in Stowmarket is hosting a full-day masterclass led by butcher Nigel Goodchild from Alder Carr Farm.
The event is taking place on Sunday, November 17 and is ideal for those looking to refine their butchery techniques — whether preparing for festive feasts or stocking up for the winter months.
During the workshop, attendees will receive personalised guidance from Nigel as they learn how to expertly butcher, prepare and tie traditional cuts and joints from a pig.
In addition to the practical experience, attendees will also get to take their own butchered joints homes and enjoy a lunch at Feast Café, the museum's on-site eatery.
For more information and to book your space on the course, visit www.foodmuseum.org.uk/events/butchery-masterclass/
The all-day session costs £220 per person and those wanting to participate must be over 14.
Spaces are limited so early booking is advised.
