ITV presenter Becky Jago set to turn on Stowmarket Christmas lights in town centre this November
Families in Stowmarket will be able to get into the festive spirit this November, as the town's Christmas Lights are switched on and Father Christmas visits the Food Museum for the annual Fayre.
On Friday, November 25, at 6pm, ITV Anglia newsreader Becky Jago and Mayor of Stowmarket Barry Salmon, will switch on Stowmarket's Christmas tree lights.
The big switch on will take place at St Peter and St Mary's Parish Church and will include the town centre Christmas tree, the Combs Ford Christmas tree and the Christmas Tree Festival lights.
On the night of the switch on venues across Stowmarket town centre will be providing festive food and drink and evening entertainment.
Christmas festivities will continue on Sunday, November 27, with the return of the 'hugely popular' Stowmarket Christmas Fayre, between 10am - 4pm.
The Fayre will take place across Stowmarket, including at the Food Museum where Father Christmas will be visiting.
On the Sunday, children visiting the museum will be able to enjoy fairground rides and also meet animals.
At the John Peel Centre there will be a line-up of festive music including performances from the Stow Chorale and Ipswich Reggie Choir.
The Regal cinema will be getting into the festive spirit by showing classic Christmas films and there will be a Christmas Craft Market at The Mix.
Families enjoying the Christmas Fayre can also pop in to St Peter and St Mary's Church to see some of the 360 trees which make up part of the popular Christmas Tree Festival.
