Armed police attend medical incident in Suffolk Road, Sudbury, after safety concerns




Armed police were called to support ambulance staff following a medical incident.

Police were called at 6.30pm yesterday evening to a property in Suffolk Road, Sudbury.

It is understood a woman was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Police, said: “We were called to assist ambulance officers after concerns for the safety of an individual, involved in a medical incident, who was then safely taken to hospital for treatment.”

The spokesperson added it was an ‘isolated incident’ and there was no further threat to the wider community.

The ambulance service has been contacted.
