Artist hails Sudbury Open Studios weekend as great success

A community event, which enabled visitors to explore the work of some of Sudbury’s most accomplished artists, has been hailed as a success.

Staged at the end of last month, the two-day showpiece saw 12 artists open their studio doors to the public on September 19 and 20.

Event organiser and artist Lorna Hoey, whose original artwork was among the extensive collection on show, said: “It was extremely encouraging to see so many people.

"We would like to thank them all for coming out to support us, buying our work and making the weekend such a success."
