Pupils from St Andrew's Primary School in Bulmer develop skills with interactive projects while under coronavirus lockdown

Youngsters from St Andrew’s Primary School in Bulmer have been boosting their development skills with a range of interactive projects while remaining at home during the coronavirus lockdown.

The pupils have explored a range of topics from science experiments and artwork to bridge building and gardening.

Class teachers have provided key support by setting projects via Padlet – an online bulletin board on the school’s website, with pupils set weekly sports challenges along with various music sessions.

Praising the pupils’ collective efforts, executive headteacher Jinnie Nichols said: “The children have adapted to this new way of learning brilliantly and have embraced all the new challenges set.”

Mrs Nichols highlighted that the support of both parents and staff has been instrumental in ensuring that the students’ learning had not been impacted during lockdown.

“We have been amazed by all the work and activities that the children have been doing,” added Mrs Nichols.
