Two Sudbury women, who have more than 100 tattoos between, them are celebrating the opening of their ‘dream’ tattoo and piercing studio.

Under Your Skin, co-owned by Jenna-Lee Fourie-Cook, 32, and Rochelle King, 33, opened its doors in North Street in the town on Saturday.

“We are both super chuffed that we have actually managed to do this,” said Jenna-Lee.

“It’s been a long hard slog getting the studio ready and getting all the licensing in place, but 110 per cent worth it.

“Working with someone you really get on with is rare but we are lucky that we can come into work each day and have such a laugh and really not feel like we are working at all. That really is an amazing feeling,” she said.

The pair, who are both mothers, said they are motivated to succeed by their young children and want to set a good example.

“We both respectively want to give our children the best we possibly can and to show them that nothing is impossible. Dreams can be achieved,” Jenna-lee said.

“When this opportunity arose it didn’t take long for us both to jump right in and finally get what we really both deserve. To shine on our own and be successful in our own right.”

The pair have had lots of positive feedback after the opening, with many of their clients from their previous jobs looking to visit the new studio.

They signed the lease for the building on January 17, just one day after Jenna-Lee gave birth to her son, Noah.

Jenna-Lee’s husband Oli helped to completely renovate the studio alongside working full time in order to realise the pair’s dream.

They said they expect the tattoo side of the business will be the most popular, followed by body piercings and adornments.
