The six-year partnership between the Bridge Project and Waitrose in Sudbury has been honoured by Suffolk Community Foundation’s annual High Sheriff Awards.

The charity, which helps disadvantaged adults in the community, was awarded Suffolk Corporate Community Partnership of the Year for its strong links with the Sudbury branch of Waitrose.

Anesta Newson, of the Bridge Project, said: “It is just brilliant, I can’t believe it.

“We have been really fortunate to receive support from Waitrose, who have been with us for six years.

“It’s amazing to think we have got this award – it’s a real, true partnership.”
