B&M opens in Sudbury at Eastern Bypass, Woodhall Business Park
A new discount store has opened in Sudbury.
B&M opened its doors at Eastern Bypass, Woodhall Business Park, at 8am today.
It is at the site of the former B&Q.
The retailer has taken over the 25,703sqft unit, which has undergone an internal and external refurbishment programme.
The launch of the new store has created more than 90 jobs for local people.
B&M sells a variety of branded groceries including a range of food, drink and pet food.
There is also a selection of health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.
The store also has a 10,269sqft garden centre selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials.
The Sudbury store team were asked to nominate a local charity and chose Stour Valley Vineyard Church.
Stour Valley Vineyard Church Foodbank provides emergency food bags to local families and individuals in crisis through a referral system, partnering with a growing number of agencies in Sudbury and the surrounding areas.
These include food supplies, toiletries, household cleaners and nappies.
The team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers, which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.
B&M Sudbury said: “It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors; the feedback so far has been fantastic.
“A big thank you to the team at Stour Valley Vineyard who helped us open the store; we hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do.”
