Dog trapped in underground pipework at property in Valley Road, Newton, near Sudbury, rescued




A dog trapped in underground pipework was rescued by firefighters.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called at 5.34pm yesterday to reports of a dog trapped at a property in Valley Road, Newton, near Sudbury.

The two-year-old French Bulldog was rescued by firefighters from Sudbury and Long Melford.

Crews dug down to the pipe and cut away a section to safely release the dog.

The incident was dealt with an hour later, at 6.35pm.
