A14, A1214, A1071 and A1141 delays possible as police escort abnormal load from Peterborough to Monks Eleigh




Drivers in Suffolk may experience delays tomorrow as an abnormal load is transported through the county.

Suffolk Police will be escorting the abnormal load from Peterborough to Church Field in Monks Eleigh on Wednesday.

The four units, which measure 4.94 metres wide, 15 metres long and 4.95 metres high, and weigh 44 tonnes, will be transported from the A14 Cambridgeshire border.

It will then travel along the A1214, A1071 and A1141, before following local roads, Church Hill and Church Field, to the site.

Drivers using these routes tomorrow have been warned to allow for longer journey times.

Suffolk Police will escort the load from Junction 50 layby at Stowmarket to Monks Eleigh.
