Emergency road closure in place on A134 Bury Road, north of Alpheton, near Sudbury
An emergency road closure is in place on a key route - with delays expected.
A section of the A134 Bury Road, north of Alpheton, near Sudbury, has been closed for emergency tree removal and cutting.
The road has been closed north of the junction with Old Bury Road.
The tree cutting is expected to last five days, until March 14.
Suffolk County Council said: “8am to 10pm emergency tree removal and cutting to be carried out during the day; log removal at the end of each day, so a 24/7 closure will be required anticipated to take five days. Delays are likely”.
Work got under way today.
The A134 is also subject to a series of weekend closures at Sicklesmere Road for a new roundabout to built as part of the Abbots Vale housing development.
