Firefighters from Sudbury and Colchester attend aircraft on fire in Halstead

Emergency services have been called to an aircraft on fire this morning.

Firefighters from Sudbury, Colchester and Halstead were called to a light aircraft on fire at 9.22am in Pebmarsh Road in Halstead.

A spokesperson from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said they worked quickly to extinguish the fire and that the incident was handed over to police.

Fire crews stepped down at 11.25am, two hours after they were called.
