Eyebrow specialist Mrs Brow Magician launches new studio in heart of Long Melford, near Sudbury

A brow specialist has praised the positive vibes following the launch of her new shop in Long Melford, building upon more than a decade of experience in the industry.

Mrs Brow Magician opened its doors in Hall Street on Friday, October 18, with a specialism in eyebrows, including shaping, tinting, and lamination, as well as natural make-up services.

The business is a solo operation set up by Kimberley Cockel, who has 13 years of experience in the beauty industry.

She started off as a make-up artist based at the Colchester branch of the Debenhams department chain, before going self-employed in recent years, which included a spell in Sudbury.

She said that, after deciding to branch out with her own shop, the studio space in Long Melford stood out as the ideal location.

“I wanted to come to Long Melford because it’s such a beautiful, quaint little village, and has a lovely reputation,” said Kimberley.

“My approach is to focus on natural beauty, and not the fake stuff that you see on Love Island and things like that. That’s not me.

“My focus is on bringing out natural beauty. I think it’s something that, in today’s society, is quite nice to focus on.

“The experience that I aim to offer is a step above what you would normally receive when you’re having your eyebrows done. I like to make it the most luxurious experience.

“I opened on October 18, and the first week was really positive. I’ve had a lot of people come in and introduce themselves.

“I have lovely neighbours and there have been so many welcome cards, so it has been a really lovely and positive experience so far.”

Although she is currently working on her own, Kimberley added that, long-term, she hopes to welcome additional staff, to provide other services, such as nails and massage.
