Lydia Leonard and James Lance to appear at Long Melford Christmas carol concert in aid of Great Cornard stroke charity
Two well-known actors will add extra stardust to a candlelit Christmas carol concert in aid of a Suffolk charity that helps stroke survivors.
Lydia Leonard - Cherie Blair in the new series of The Crown, and Anne Lister's former lover Mariana Lawson in Gentleman Jack - will read at the concert in Holy Trinity Church, Long Melford on Thursday December 1.
So will James Lance, who appears as sportswriter Trent Crimm in the Emmy award-winning Apple TV+ comedy drama Ted Lasso.
The event is a major fundraiser for Success after Stroke, a charity based at Great Cornard near Sudbury which provides activities, therapies and social contact for people living with the effects of a stroke.
The choir of Robinson College, Cambridge, and members of the organisation will also be performing.
Admission to the concert, which begins at 7pm and is a popular highlight of the festive calendar, is by advance ticket only. They can be bought by going online to successafterstroke.org.uk.
