Crews from Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Sudbury, Haverhill and more attended house blaze in Chapel Lane, Little Cornard





A converted barn being used as a home has been gutted in a blaze – and firefighters remain at the scene to keep watch

Suffolk Fire and Rescue was called to a house fire in Chapel Lane, Little Cornard, near Sudbury, at 3.22pm yesterday.

About fourteen engines, including crews from Felixstowe, Hadleigh, Sudbury, Long Melford, Clare, Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds were called to tackle the blaze.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the damage was extensive, but the true scale of the damage remains unknown.

A stop was called at 6.11pm yesterday, but one crew remains at the scene to inspect the damage.

The spokesman confirmed no one was injured in the incident.
