Firefighters tackle two acres of barley fire in Stackyard Green, in Monks Eleigh, near Sudbury

Firefighters have tackled a barley fire that spread across two acres of field near a village.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue was called to Stackyard Green, in Monks Eleigh, near Sudbury, at 3.15pm.

Crews from Sudbury and Long Melford used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

A stop was called just before 5pm.
