Food festival a summer treat
Taking over Market Hill and St Peter’s in Sudbury on Sunday, June 14, the Taste of Sudbury Food and Drink Festival will be the perfect summer treat for all food lovers.
Local restaurants, eateries and food producers will come together to celebrate the fabulous diverse range of food available on the Suffolk and Essex border.
The event will be opened by Lesley Dolphin, from BBC Radio Suffolk, and there will be cooking demonstrations by chefs on the outside stage.
Inside St Peter’s, there will be cooking demonstrations by Neff Appliances, organised by KSL Sudbury.
There is free parking throughout the day, as well as a free park and ride service from Delphi car park. Entry to the festival is also free.
Colin Spence, county councillor for Sudbury, said: “The Taste of Sudbury is a great opportunity to celebrate every aspect of food and the contribution it makes to our local economy.
“Whether you know what food you like or are a culinary adventurist, this is a foodies paradise from local produce to delights from around the world.”
New for 2015, Scutcher’s of Long Melford will be opening a pop-up restaurant with a set menu. Early booking is recommended. Go to www.tasteofsudbury.co.uk.
