Men charged over Sudbury disused factory burglary in Newton Road




Four men have appeared in court in relation to a burglary at a disused factory in Sudbury.

Police were called on Saturday, December 17, at 4.35am to reports of a burglary involving a quantity of copper metal at a property on Newton Road.

Officers attended the scene and arrested four men in connection with the incident. The men were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and subsequently charged.

Vasile Moisa and Augustin Szaz, both aged 50 years of no fixed abode, Constantin Ionel, 44, and Laurentiu Jugaru, 25, both of London, were all charged with theft.

Ionel was also charged with possession of a bladed article and Szaz was charged for traffic offences for having no motor insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.

The four men appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday, December 19, and have been bailed to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on January 16.
