GENERAL ELECTION 2019: Four candidates confirmed for ballot in South Suffolk

Four candidates will contest the election to become the next Member of Parliament for South Suffolk, Babergh District Council has confirmed.

Nominations for prospective Parliamentary candidates (PPCs) in next month’s general election closed yesterday afternoon.

The candidates are:

* James Cartlidge (Conservative)

* Elizabeth Hughes (Labour)

* David Beavan (Liberal Democrat)

* Robert Lindsay (Green)

The election will take place on Thursday, December 12, with polls open between 7am and 10pm.
