Great Cornard Cherrytree Road incident sees girl, 9, allegedly tied to lamppost by two teenage boys

A nine year old girl was allegedly tied to a lamppost by two teenage boys in a Suffolk village.

The incident is said to have taken place in the Cherrytree Road area of Great Cornard, near Sudbury, at around 4.10pm on Monday.

Police said they received a report that two teenage boys, described as between the ages of 13 and 15, tied the girl, 9, to a lamppost.

A spokesperson said the girl managed to wriggle free and was left shaken, but unhurt.
