Glemsford dance teacher Holly Cook relocates Beau Dance & Performing Arts to bigger studio at Clockhouse Farm after bringing curtain down on events business

A grateful dance school owner has made the jump to a bigger studio, bringing the curtain down on her events business.

Holly Cook, 27, has taken the next step and relocated her business, Beau Dance & Performing Arts, to new premises at Clockhouse Farm in Glemsford.

Only two doors away from her old space, the new site is three times bigger.

The move comes after Holly held a final farewell ball on December 29 for her other business, Beau & Arrow Events, which has been a huge part of her life since 2018.

The ball helped to raise £538 for children’s charity Little Princess Trust and Holly said she was enormously thankful for the support she has had over the years.

“It’s definitely a bittersweet feeling to close, as I was so young when I started Beau & Arrow events,” she said. “It’s been an integral part of my life for the past seven years.

“We were very successful in the area for children’s entertainment and we brought our princesses to many events, but my life is very different now and, although I’m sad, it was really magical.

“I have to give a huge thank you to all the performers, as well as my family and friends, who have helped me over the years. I’m extremely grateful.

“I also want to thank everyone who’s used our services and promoted us. You’ve kept us going and it has been our greatest honour to bring the magic to you.”

Holly, of Glemsford, is now looking forward to spending more time with her partner and son at weekends after closing the events business, and spending the last few weeks renovating her new studio at Clockhouse Farm.

There is a new waiting room for parents, the space is much bigger, and Holly is now able to offer a lot more workshops for adults.

“I’m extremely excited for this because I can put all my focus into this and I just know it’s going to be amazing,” she said.

“I want other people to use the space, too, not just my dance school, and I want it to be a hub for lots of activities and classes for the local community.”
