A designer fashion retailer has been dealt a fresh blow, after it was targeted by burglars for the second time in three months.

Hall Street in Hadleigh was broken into at the weekend, around 10 weeks after the last incident.

The burglars, who were captured on CCTV, were seen gaining entry by smashing the front door on Saturday at some time between 3.35am and 3.40am, before stealing 170 items of stock.

“It’s the same modus operandi we have seen,” said owner Sean Garnham, who is still reeling from the last incident, which occurred at the end of November.

A Citroen Picasso used during the incident, which is thought to have been stolen, has not yet been recovered.

“The impact at present is one we are trying to quantify,” said Mr Garnham, who is chairman of Hadleigh Chamber of Commerce and the Wool Towns Association (WTA).

The store was forced to shut on Saturday, but has since reopened.
