Hundreds of homes in Sudbury, Long Melford and Clare out of power as Suffolk hit by snow




Hundreds of homes in and around Sudbury were without power this morning after snow hit the county.

UK Power Networks investigated a high voltage overhead electricity line fault that had caused the power cut in the area.

The company reported on its website at 11.30am today that 368 homes were out of power.

Later in the day the number reduced to 71 households with an outage.

This came after the area was hit with snowfall.

The power was restored at 2.34pm.
