Investigation reveals cause of fire which affected sheds and fences in Alder Way, Sudbury




An investigation has revealed the cause of multiple sheds, fences and garages that were affected by a fire in a town.

Firefighters were called just after 7pm on Saturday to Alder Way in Sudbury.

Four crews attended the incident and six hose reels were used to extinguish the blaze.

Following an investigation, a Suffolk Fire and Rescue spokesperson said that the cause of the fire was accidental ignition as barbecue ashes/coals were not disposed of properly.

There were no casualties from the incident.

Firefighters remained at the scene for a couple of hours with the blaze all under control before 8.45pm.
