Bobby Beresford appears at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court for Glemsford cannabis and electricity offences
A man accused of growing cannabis and stealing £8,000 of electricity has appeared in court.
Bobby Beresford, 37, of no fixed address, was due at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with two drugs offences and another of dishonestly using an amount of electricity without due authority.
The charges stem from an incident in Glemsford on December 19, 2023.
Beresford is accused of producing both cannabis, a Class B drug, and psilocybin, a Class A, found in ‘magic mushrooms’.
As well as these, it is alleged he used or abstracted £8,044.56 of electricity without due authority.
It is not clear where this came from.
No pleas or verdicts were recorded.
The case was adjourned for the defendant to appear via live link.
