Man in his 70s dies in car fire in Cavendish

A man in his 70s has died following a car fire in Cavendish early this morning.

Suffolk Constabulary has said the unnamed man was the driver of a grey Hyundai IX35 estate which was reported to be on fire near The Green.

Emergency services responded after a call at around 7.30am but said the man died at the scene.

Two cars parked nearby were also damaged in the fire and the road remains closed while investigations take place.
