Man threatened outside Co-op store in Long Melford, near Sudbury, during row




A man was threatened with a hammer during a dispute outside a shop in a Suffolk village.

The incident was outside the Co-op in Hall Street, Long Melford, at about 10pm on Friday, February 9, where three men in their 20s were approached by two males.

According to Suffolk Police, it was reported that one of the men was involved in a verbal dispute with the males during which he was threatened with a hammer.

The first suspect is described as white and likely in his late teens to early 20s, about 5ft 5ins in height and of slim build.

He was wearing a black hoodie with ‘London Shooters’ written on it and jeans.

The second suspect is described as white, about 5ft 8ins in height and was wearing a blue North Face shirt, black joggers and Adidas backpack.

He was also carrying a high-vis vest.

Officers ask anyone with information about the incident to contact PC 984 Itze at Sudbury Police Station, quoting reference CAD 330 of February 9 via the website.
