Manhunt launched after attempted robbery at Suffolk village shop

Police have launched a manhunt after an attempted robbery at a village shop yesterday, Sunday.

On Sunday 8 May at approximately 1.20pm, an offender entered a convenience store on The Green in Cavendish, near Sudbury, and demanded money.

After attempting to take money from the cash register, the offender ran from the scene empty handed.

The offender is described as white, slim build and approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall with a pale complexion. He was wearing a fawn coloured hooded top, and dark coloured woollen gloves.

He was last seen running away from the scene towards an area known as the Maltings, behind the George Public House.

Police would like to hear from anyone with any information to assist their investigation, particularly if anyone matching this description was seen in the area at the time stated.
