Money stolen from home in Spout Lane, Workhouse Green, near Little Cornard, during distraction burglary

Money was stolen from a home during a distraction burglary in a Suffolk hamlet.

It happened on Monday at about 7.21pm in Spout Lane, Workhouse Green, near Little Cornard.

An unknown person rang the front doorbell, but when a family member opened the door — no one was there.

During this time, a man wearing a brown coat entered the property through an unlocked patio door.

He reached inside and stole money from a footstool.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact Suffolk Police CID West Team 2 quoting reference 37/61500/24.
